Exercise Ugh!!
I am no different than you. I dislike exercise and can never seem to budget the time to burn off some calories. I am however, a voracious reader and recently read an article about creative ways we can burn more calories and would like to share them here.
1. Shake your booty! Yep, dance while you are getting ready for work in the morning and for an added attraction pull your spouse and the kids into the process so they can get some additional moves in before breakfast or going to school/work.
2. Soccer Moms (and Hockey Moms too) instead of sitting down while your kiddies are practicing their (fill in sport) you can be walking around and remaining active and burning calories instead of sitting in the canvas chair.
3. Do crunches in bed before getting up in the morning. Draw knees towards your chest 30,40 or 50 times in the morning and before going to sleep at night.
4. Keep a mini-stepper under your desk at work and pedal away while you work. This is tantamount to getting paid to exercise. And it works great.
5. Put food in the micro for lunch? Don't sit there and watch it, take a lap around the office/kitchen or just move around to burn those additional calories. Be creative !!
6. Kids out riding their bikes? Why don't you run along side to build your cardio and burn more calories?
I believe you get the idea. It takes more energy to stand than it does to sit so stand every chance you get and continue to burn the calories in creative ways. If any of you have any additional suggestions or creative ways to burn additional calories then send them in and I'll publish them
