From time to time we look at other programs, competitors, etc. to insure we are bringing you the best value for your money. We recently evaluated Medifast and boy did it open our eyes. Now before some of you loyal Medifast clients get all huffy please understand this is an evaluation and not a criticism of Medifast and their program. The Medifast program works and they have been very successful with it. That said, we would like to call your attention to some differences between these two very successful programs. On our website http://www.myhealthmanagement.com/ you have the ability to self-select a 3 week, 6 week, 9 week or 12 week a la carte program at a highly discounted and fixed price. With Medifast if you buy their pre-packaged 30 day program they select what you will receive in the package. Our program provides 6 meals a day theirs provides only 5. (Do the math, over a 30 day period of time this turns out to be real money.) Their weekly cost is $68.75, ours is $ 64.21 and this is just for a short period of time. Ordering a 6,9, or 12 week program from us will get you much deeper discounts than $4.00 and change per week. Now let's talk freight: Medifast will only charge you half the shipping cost for an order over $ 275.00. We pay 100% shipping for all our meal plans to anywhere in the Continental United States. I spoke with a Medifast client that lives in Pennsylvania and this client told me an order placed to Medifast's shipping point in suburban Baltimore will get there by Friday of the same week. We ship within 24 hours of receipt of order and from where we are in Atlanta, Georgia it usually arrives in 2 days to our Pennsylvania clients. Let's look at another difference, if you do not want to buy the pre-packaged 30 meal plan and choose to select an a la carte then be prepared to give Medifast about a 10% premium (penalty) for that order.
