The week of August the 18th we will be introducing a new and revolutionary product on our Bariatric Food Products website, www.bariatricfoodproducts.com They are Bari Care Vanilla and Bari Care Chocolate Shakes and Bari Care Creamy Custard. In order for any protein supplement designed for bariatric surgery patients to be successful it must have the following characteristics:
1. Protein: It must have the highest protein possible in a single serving. The protein or proteins used must be of the highest quality, without harming or compromising on taste or stability. The serving size, because of intake restrictions, should not exceed 8 ounces.
2. Sugars: It should have the lowest possible sugar content per serving, especially simple sugars.
3. Taste: It must be developed with the understanding that the sensory perception of a post surgery patient will change, and that this change is sometimes dramatic.
